Tips On Buying A Swim Spa

Valley Pool and Spa Kelowna Swim Spa

Have you decided to buy a swim spa?  With so many makes and models out there, make sure you are doing your homework to avoid buyer's remorse.

Here are a few tips to help you make an informed choice so you can enjoy your new swim spa for many years

Low Cost Can Equal Higher Maintenance

We all want to save money but be careful when buying a “cheap” swim spa.  Make sure you are buying a spa of quality.  Do your research.  Sometimes when you buy to cheap of a swim spa it can end up costing you in both time and maintenance.  For example, check out the water management tools that are in the swim spa.  If the water management system is not of quality you will likely spend a lot of time having to clean the spa and also having to use more chemicals costing you more money.  Many of the cheaper lower quality swim spas do not have a good system to help your spa water stay clean and clear.

Make Sure You Buy The Right Size To Fit You Needs

With so many swim spas available it can be overwhelming!  Take your time and make sure you know what size and also what your home can accommodate when making your spa purchase.  Be sure you buy one that is big enough to accommodate the number of people that will be using it.

Think About Where Your Swim Spa Will Be Located

Before buying your swim spa make sure you know where you are going to put it.  If you're putting it on a patio or deck you will need to take measurements.  Think about things like will you still have enough space for people to move the outside of the spa. You will also need to have enough room to access the spa for maintance reasons.  If you like your privacy you might want to think about where in your yard would be a good installation area so your neighbors can’t see into your tub.
